The Taylor Centre | Wright & Wright

Updated: Aug 12, 2020

The Royal Academy of Engineering recently unveiled the new home for their Enterprise Hub in the Taylor Centre.

The Enterprise Hub had been a virtual organisation but now there is a state-of-the-art centre with space for working and meeting. The Hub aims to capture the expertise, experience and networks of the Academy’s fellows and harness them to support the next generation of promising engineering entrepreneurs. With the new centre there is now a physical focus for this hotbed of innovation and activity.

The transformation was led by Wright & Wright, an architectural practice founded in 1994. Their other work includes the refurbishment of the National Gallery and the masterplanning of Somerset House. In their work on the Taylor Centre, within a Grade 1 listed building, they have managed to transform a dark series of storerooms into a remarkably light and airy set of working rooms. The space is designed to inspire future entrepreneurs. We are proud to say that Wright & Wright are a member of Indigo&.
